3. MITTED: Point colored mask, ears, and legs with white mittens on the front feet and white boots on the back feet. White chin is required, also white ruff and stomach. Paw pads are pink.
All Ragdolls have blue eyes and are available in 4 point colors: seal, chocolate, blue, frost, lynx, and flame. Most Ragdolls have unique personalities. They are loving, placid and easy going basically quiet cats, but very playful. They make wonderful house or apartment cats since they’re very intelligent and can be easily trained. Ragdolls have a special temperament, sweet and docile, and they are not fighters. They show many characteristics usually attributed to dogs: retrieving toys, devotion, attention to what you are doing, following you everywhere, etc. Ragdolls have the unique characteristic of going limp (when they so desire) in your arms when picked up. They seem to enjoy being held like a baby, and habitually lie on their backs with their back legs flattened out and “arms” sticking straight up in the air. Their fur is rabbit-like, medium to very long, silky, and never mats, even if you don’t have much time to comb them. We call them the “laid-back, low maintenance cats.”
Ragdoll kittens are born white with their color and patterns starting to show when they are about ten days old. Their full color and size is not developed until they are between two and three years of age. A neutered male will weigh about 15-18 pounds. A sprayed female would be about 5 pounds lighter.
Ragdolls should only be bred Ragdoll to Ragdoll--there should never be any out-crossing to other varieties since it is a pure strain and breeds true. When you purchase a Ragdoll kitten you may not receive any registration papers until you show proof that the cat has been altered. Pet quality kittens prices vary. Show quality kittens sell for $600. and up.
All of our kittens are registered with The International Cats Association and are vet checked. We always have kittens available or soon-to-be available. Please contact us. |

The Ragdoll is believed to have originated in California around 1965 with a Persian, a Birman and a Burmese. Kittens from these breedings were carefully line-bred to give us these large, beautiful Ragdolls which seem to have combined most of their ancestors’ best traits. The name “Ragdoll” came about because of the cat’s ability to relax like a child’s toy Ragdoll.
Ragdolls have 3 basic patterns:
1. Bi-COLOR: White inverted “v” in mask, white legs, feet, ruff and stomach. Point colored ears and tail, with pink nose and paw pads.
2. COLORPOINT: Point colored mask, ears, feet, tail, nose and paw pads. A Colorpoint has no white whatsoever. |
